U.S. Bishops’ Chairman for Domestic Justice and Human Development Welcomes Legislation on Environment, Drug Prices
On Sunday, the U.S. Senate passed the Inflation Reduction Act. Archbishop Paul S. Coakley of Oklahoma City, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Domestic Justice and Human Development, previously wrote to Congress in June regarding the moral issues at stake in addressing climate change, and again earlier this month welcoming various environmental and some health provisions in the Act.
