United States citizens are not required to have a visa in order to enter Panama. However, passports are
necessary. For more information regarding passports, visit the official government website.
United States residents who are not U.S. citizens or do not hold a U.S. passport may need a visa and passport to enter Panama. Information on visa requirements can be found in this newsletter (English and Spanish) from the World Youth Day organizing team. If you have questions about obtaining a visa for WYD 2019, please contact email@example.com.
For those requiring a visa for entry into Panama, the Local Organizing Committee in Panama recently announced (as of September 2018) that the deadline for the visa application process to participate in WYD Panama 2019 has been extended to November 14, 2018. If you have more questions regarding this extension, contact the International Relations Department.
Passports are required to enter Panama. U.S. passports should have at least three months of validity from the date of return to the United States. If a pilgrim's passport has an expiration date within that three-month window, they will need to renew their passport as soon as possible. For more information about obtaining a renewal or a new passport, visit the official government website.
