Lectio Divina On the Meaning of the Call

In preparation for each pilgrim’s spiritual journey to World Youth Day 2013, Father Joseph Anísio Schwirkowski has gathered a series of readings for Lectio Divina written especially for young people. Lectio Divina are prayerful readings aimed to prepare the heart of the disciple for encounters with God. The purpose of these Lectio Divina is to exemplify the theme of WYD 2013, "Go and make disciples of all nations" (Mt. 28:19)

"Often, in a meeting, the most beautiful thing is preparation," Father Joseph says, "the event has a different taste when you prepare well. So we want to form the heart of the disciple with the Word. It is hearing the Word, sharing it and putting it into practice that will form discipleship.

"We have made each of the 7 readings for Lectio Divina available below to download for pilgrims in preparation for the months to come. Please also find below links to the World Youth Day 2013 Lectio Divina channel (called “Prepare”), as well as links to other USCCB prayerful resources.
