Firstconvened in 1998, the Mid-Atlantic dialogue continues to meet separately from the USCCB since it began its national dialogue in 2015.  

Muslim participants include representatives from the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and local Islamic communities, while Catholic participants include a bishop and representatives from local Catholic dioceses.
