• A traveling exhibit on the contributions of women religious in the United States, Women & Spirit, will be on display at different museums in the nation during the year. It opened at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, January 14, and will be there until April 25. (Further information on this traveling exhibit.) This exhibit is sponsored by the Leadership Conference of Women Religious.
  
  
• The Foundations of Religious Life: Revisiting the Vision was written by six sisters from the membership of the Council of Major Superiors of Women Religious. This book addresses the development of religious life since Vatican II. The chapters reflect some of the essential components of religious life, that is, the meaning of consecrated life, the reality of the spousal bond, the necessity of the vows to live out this spousal bond, the call to be a witness to communion in the Church, and the mission that springs from this communion.
