Take Action
Pledge to become involved:
- Learn about poverty in the USA and how the Catholic Campaign for Human Development addresses it.
- Visit the websites, www.usccb.org/cchd/ and www.povertyusa.org.
- Support the Catholic Campaign for Human Development parish collection and donate directly.
- Pray for solutions to the root causes of poverty.
- Ask your pastor to talk about CCHD during his homilies.
- Talk with family members about the impact of poverty on individuals and communities.
- Join a legislative advocacy group and urge elected officials to enact just social laws.
- Speak to elected officials about the conditions of poverty in the USA.
- Work with poor and low-income people on issues of mutual interest in your community.
