The newly formed Office of Digital Media is responsible for developing and maintaining the USCCB’s Internet presence. Digital Media manages and maintains the USCCB Web site (www.usccb.org) and other affiliated Web sites such as catholicnews.com, uspapalvisit.org, foryourmarriage.org, picturingmary.com and all the other department sites. The office produces and distributes several audio and video programs as well as text content for Web, TV, and radio.

The Digital Media office will continue producing several audio and video productions for the Catholic Communication Campaign. Programs such as the daily readings, Personally Speaking, Catholic Radio Weekly, Daily Reflections, One on One, Faith Works and more are produced by this office. The office also helps other departments produce audio, video and DVDs for various projects.

One of Digital Media's first projects was the Papal Visit site www.uspapalvisit.org. With the help of organizations and USCCB offices, the site was a great success and a media rich environment with articles, speeches, papal texts, images, video, audio, blog, RSS feeds and live Web cast of all the events. The site handled media credentialing for 5000 media members and gave them access to event, logistical and background information for the papal visit.

The Office of Digital Media using old and new media to educate, inform and evangelize the good workings of the Church and the USCCB.

The Catholic Communication Campaign is an activity of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) that develops media programming, projects and resources that promote Gospel values. Donations of Catholic parishioners make possible the work of the Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC).
