Peter’s Pence Collection 2018 to be held June 30-July 1; Funds Support Pope Francis’s charitable outreach to the suffering and marginalized

WASHINGTON— The annual Peter's Pence collection will be taken in many dioceses across the United States the weekend of June 30 –July 1. Funds from this collection support Pope Francis's charitable outreach to the suffering and marginalized around the world.

 WASHINGTON— The annual Peter's Pence collection will be taken in many dioceses across the United States the weekend of June 30 –July 1. Funds from this collection support Pope Francis's charitable outreach to the suffering and marginalized around the world.

"The Peter's Pence collection is a sign of our communion with the Holy Father," said Archbishop Thomas J. Rodi of Mobile, Alabama, chairman of the USCCB Committee on National Collections. "We join our brothers and sisters in the United States and around the world to support Pope Francis as he cares for those most in need."

The Peter's Pence collection 2018: Be a witness of charity, is taken up worldwide to help Pope Francis provide relief to victims of war, religious persecution, and natural disasters.
