Remembering Rev. John W. Crossin, OSFS

It is with great sadness that the Secretariat for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs received news of the passing of Rev. John W. Crossin, OSFS, and former Executive Director, this morning, May 12, 2023.

Fr. Crossin, an Oblate of St. Francis de Sales, made his first profession on August 20, 1967 and his final profession on October 20, 1971. He was ordained on May 15, 1976.

He is remembered fondly for his tenure as Executive Director of the Secretariat for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs from 2011 to 2017. Please join us as we remember his contributions to ecumenism and interreligious understanding. May he rest in our Lord's embrace.
