Memorial of Saint Francis Xavier, Priest

  • While we are not all called to follow in the globe-trotting ways of St. Francis Xavier, we are all called to be missionaries. Did you know that you can evangelize just by witnessing to the faith through your everyday life lived with love, honesty, hope, and faith?

  • Maybe you've heard the term "New Evangelization" but aren't sure what it means.  Find out here.

  • Read a reflection on becoming a "3-G Catholic,"  or one who doesn't lose sight of the duty to get out the Good News of Jesus Christ in a society obsessed with high-speed information technology.

  • Today's Jesse Tree Symbol & Reading:
Today’s symbol is a sack of grain. Joseph, the son of Jacob, is cast out by his brothers. But through his faith in God’s providence, he has enough food to feed all who are hungry in times of famine, with sacks of grain bursting at the seams. Read the story of Joseph’s life in Genesis Chapters 37 to 50.
    — Anne-Marie Welsh for Faith magazine, published by the Diocese of Erie
