Online Dialogue in Celebration of the Ecumenical and Interreligious Guidebook: Care for Our Common Home

The third in its series, this dialogue celebrates the Ecumenical Guidebook: Care for Our Common Home . It was jointly published by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Catholic Association of Diocesan Ecumenical and Interreligious Officers, and Catholic Climate Covenant.

Most Rev. Joseph Tyson holds degrees in Arts and Journalism, International Relations and Divinity. He was named an Auxiliary Bishop of Seattle in 2005 and from 2008-2011, he served as Superintendent of Catholic Schools. He was installed as Bishop of Yakima in 2011 and currently serves as a member of the USCCB’s Committee for Cultural Diversity and Chair of the USCCB’s Pastoral Care for Migrants, Refugees and Travelers. Bishop Tyson is also the Episcopal Liaison to Catholic Climate Covenant based in Washington, DC.

Bishop Marc Handley Andrus represents the Most Rev. Michael Bruce Curry, the Presiding Bishop for the Episcopal Church, at the UN Conference of Parties on Climate Change. Bishop Andrus’ recent contributions on climate change include chapters in The Harmony Debates: Exploring a Practical Philosophy for a Sustainable Future, and, Science, Faith and the Climate Crisis.

Rev. Elizabeth Eaton is the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America’s presiding bishop. Eaton earned a M.Div from Harvard Divinity School and a BMEd from the College of Wooster. She was ordained in 1981. Eaton is married to the Rev. Conrad Selnick, an Episcopal priest.

Bishop Sally Dyck is the Ecumenical Officer of the Council of Bishops of The United Methodist Church. She serves as the President of the General Board of Church and Society for The United Methodist Church. Bishop Dyck is the co-author of A Hopeful Earth—Faith, Science, and the Message of Jesus.
