Dear Archbishop Tambala:
It is with great sorrow that I have learned of the untimely death of the State Vice President, the Right Honorable Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima, Former First Lady Patricia Dzimbiri, and eight other Malawians in a terrible plane accident.
Please add our sincere message of condolences to those that you extended to family, friends, fellow government officials and to the entire people of Malawi in this time of loss. It is our hope that the Church and the nation will receive God’s grace and comfort in your mourning and the strength to move forward in the Church’s mission of salvation, peace and justice.
May they and all the souls of the faithfully departed through the mercy of God rest in eternal peace.
