Proceedings and Conclusions of the V National Encuentro of Hispanic/Latino Ministry | 97 • Ensure that the social dimension of evangelization is integrated into all formation for mission. • Collaborate with neighboring dioceses on efforts for evangelization, fostering a culture of encounter, and doing workshops to help pastoral leaders recognize the existential peripheries. • Sports as an instrument for the evangelization of young people. • Organize outreach to youth and young adults who have left or are part of the “nones,” especially by activating young people as missionary disciples reaching out to their peers. • Engage ecclesial movements in parish festivals and devotions to achieve a closer collaboration. • Activate and support the family as the nucleus of evangelization at home and in the community. • Promote the catechesis of parents and children at the same time and/or together. • Create small ecclesial communities for mutual support, spiritual enrichment, and faith development. • Open spaces and pathways, and provide formation, for greater participation of Hispanic/Latino youth and young adults in the Church. • Identify the needs of the community and engage bridge-people for diverse populations. • Develop a plan to accompany military families and respond to their particular needs. • Allocate human and financial resources for Hispanic ministry. • Promote all ecclesial vocations among Hispanics/Latinos, offering ways to overcome obstacles such as citizenship status, access to education, and family support. • Partner with ecclesial movements to organize parish missions or retreats with an evangelizing spirit for the whole community. • Open diocesan and regional offices for Hispanic ministry, expanding on the collaborative process of the V Encuentro with structures and personnel, shared responsibility, and accountability. • Reach out with activities beyond the parish and promote community integration. • Include new technologies in the processes of evangelization without forgetting that personal encounter is at the core of all good evangelization.
