Proceedings and Conclusions of the V National Encuentro of Hispanic/Latino Ministry | 127 • Explain the theological foundations of popular religious devotions. • Form a liturgical committee or hire a director of worship for the Hispanic/Latino community. • Promote vocations to ministry in the family and Hispanic community. • Provide age-appropriate orientations to the religious, spiritual, and liturgical practices of other cultures. • Pay attention to social factors, such as legal status, work schedules, and family situations, as well as to people in the margins (the sick and the elderly, people with addictions, imprisoned, etc.), and plan accordingly. • Preaching should address those human issues which impact the daily lives of Hispanics/Latinos. • Foster a solid biblical spirituality for liturgical ministers. • Provide training to seminarians about popular religious devotions in the Hispanic community. • Utilize quinceañera celebrations to evangelize young people, instead of rejecting them. • Advocate for the FDLC, SWLC, and publishers to continue to provide more information, resources, and workshop opportunities in Spanish or designed for the Hispanic/Latino community. • Create networks of formation and information at the diocesan, regional, and national levels.
