MINISTRY WITH THE INCARCERATED AND DETAINED I. Vision Ministry with the Incarcerated and Detained is a response to the Gospel of Matthew, “when I was in prison you visited me” (Mt 25:36). Called by the Holy Spirit, we extend the hope of reconciling love in relationship with the offender, the victim, and their families. This ministry should be implemented in a way that is ecumenically sensitive, respectful of diversity, and builds on the gifts and talents of the Hispanic/Latino community while responding to its needs.
