Key Insights Drawn from the Overall Experience of the V National Encuentro There can be no doubt that the V National Encuentro has been, and will continue to be, a trans- formative moment in the history of Hispanic/Latino ministry in the United States. Some of the prominent positive effects of the V Encuentro process in each of the 14 episcopal regions are described in the text boxes in Appendix D, pages 181 to 196. In addition, some of the early fruits of the post- Encuentro period are outlined in Appendix G on pages 213 to 220. The word of mouth that has been received in the weeks and months since the V Encuentro National Event from parishes and dioceses across the country has been uniformly positive, and the best is yet to come as recommendations and conclusions are studied and implemented in new pastoral plans in parishes, schools, organizations, and dioceses nationwide.
