212 | Proceedings and Conclusions of the V National Encuentro of Hispanic/Latino Ministry of responsibility, yet they worked diligently with their teams to overcome every obstacle they encountered, all the while developing new capacities and confidence in their roles. In partic- ular, communication and collaboration for pastoral ministry have been transformed, through a process of learning by example. Above all, the People of God now have an experience of what it means to be missionary disciples of Jesus Christ, and their enthusiasm to continue this work has proved to be palpable and contagious to those around them. All of these fruits speak to the unprecedented success of the V Encuentro and provide a living hope that it will continue to fulfill its main goal and primary objectives (see page 13) in the years ahead.
