Proceedings and Conclusions of the V National Encuentro of Hispanic/Latino Ministry | 55 Moment 3: Friday, September 21, 2018, 2:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. A Church that Accompanies – Afternoon Plenaries, Regional Session 2, and Dinner Jesus chooses the most appropriate moment to share with the disciples of Emmaus a very differ- ent way of understanding what happened in Jerusalem over the past few days. Starting from their experience, Jesus patiently interprets the scriptures offering them hope for a way forward. In the methodology of the V Encuentro, accompanying begins by creating a relationship of trust. It is inspired by the promises of the Gospel and a deep respect for the faith journey of others. This respect is of particular importance in the encounter with our young people on their journey of faith. At this critical time in their lives they are actively seeking a personal encounter with Jesus in the Church that will lead them to conversion and communion. Keynote Speaker Most Rev. Daniel E.
