With the birth of John the Baptist, Zechariah developed a new perspective on human life and all of history. Through this event, he saw God as a faithful, merciful, and tender Father. In the same way, there is a new birth happening in the Church today through the Latino experience. In Isaiah, the “cloaked” image of God reminds us of a Gospel truth we may have forgotten—that God loved us before we loved God, and we were chosen by Jesus before we chose Him. Bearing Fruit
