More than 9,000 grants have been approved to support self-help organizations of people living in poverty. After a rigorous review process that always includes the approval of the bishop in the diocese where the work takes place and signing a grant agreement, each year CCHD distributes national grants to more than 200 organizations.
In addition, hundreds of smaller projects are funded through the 25 percent share of the CCHD collection retained by dioceses. The projects' successes and the relationships developed have significantly changed the lives of the poor in the United States.
CCHD grants made to community- and faith-based organizations since 2004 are listed by year in the files below. Tips for searching these pdf documents: Open the document, and click in the "find" box in the menu above the document (or just enter ) Type in keywords for what you are looking for.
