The New Directory on Catechesis and Its Message for Dialogue

The new Directory on Catechesis, published in 2020, presents universal norms to guide pastors and catechists in the work of evangelization. This includes guidance for ecumenical and interreligious dialogue in the context of evangelization and catechesis. It draws heavily on Pope Francis' ministry, including Evangelii Gaudium. In his video, Bishop Denis Madden of Baltimore, member of the Bishops' Committee on Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs, explains the connection between catechesis, evangelization, and dialogue with the wider world.
